the ratio of red rose bushes to yellow red rose bushes in the school garden is about 3 to 4 if there were 36 yellow rosebushes, about how many red rose bushes would there be?

Answer :

Red: Yellow     3:4  or 3/4
Red = x (unknown) and yellow =36
3/4 = x/36
The easiest thing to do would be to divide 36 by 4 then multiply by 3
36/4 = 9   9 times 3 = 27
There are 27 red rosebushes
21
36/3=12
36/4=9
12+9=21
