when the pilgrims moved from the east they settled in the us and they encountered the indians but instead of fighting they decided to share and create thanksgiving to represent people working together and give a big meal
Introduced the Indians to superior technology, culture etc. trade was also big and many times some Indian tribes would make alliances with groups of Europeans/Americans to wipe out competition from other native tribes
