When analysing critically the definitions of truth across three centuries, using the 19th, 20th and 21st century as our case study; some changes can be observed in this very important word which tells us about key virtues we posses as humans.

As observed in earlier definition of truth gotten from the definitions from the 19th and 20th century more references were made with respect to the Bible as a final authority to getting knowledge for man then. Taking examples from the quotation of the first book of corinthians, zechariah and John with a host of others found in earlier definition. But this is not the case with the recent definition of truth which doesn't even make a single reference to the Bible, showing how man has gradually shifted away from the Bible as a final say in knowledge.
