Knowing that it is the first set of laws ever written of course it would make  a big difference in the world. These set of laws were very harsh. If you did something wring you pay the consequences. For example the saying an eye for an eye. So if you do something wrong you must pay for it. That doesn't mean pay with money. You would either get your limbs chopped off or die depending on what you did. That changed the world significantly without that people would just get away with things without punishment. :D  :)
