Explanation:
The process by which the legal system of the government of sovereign state is fully executed is called administration of criminal justice. The aim of this process is to provide a level playing ground for all citizens who at one point in time access the legal system. The leadership and operations of the various aspects of the legal system is the focus of this system. All the various aspects of the legal system such as the judiciary, law enforcement will have to work together in order to prevent and prosecute criminal offences without fear and favor.
The following are the five pillars of criminal justice system in Philippines:
- The Community: this involves the citizens and non-citizens who are residents of a particular state. The community is the bedrock of all other pillars. That is, the law enforcement, the prosecution, the courts and the corrections are all produced by the community;
- The Law Enforcement: the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the police, drug law enforcement agents, traffic rules enforcers, investigators etc
- The Prosecution: the state prosecutors;
- The Courts: the municipal trial courts;
- The Correctional facilities: the rehabilitation centers, cells and prisons.
