The consumers are dependent on them and after their death, the decomposers feeds them. It also helps in the transfer of energy from one trophic level to another. The humans also utilizes the solar energy and converts the light energy provided by the sun into chemical energy.
Thus, the biosphere can be considered as the key component of the earth's system.
