And when there is any unclear or confusing response from the other people, the best possible response for this case is to try to say it in a different way, so as to check if the person's point is correct. And if the point is wrong, that will enable the responder to correct or say his point again, while at the same time allowing the speaker/ participant to understand and get the chance to re-know the point. changing the subject to a new question or telling the person to make more sense is no way to address a confusing or unclear point.
