Irene wants to buy some fish and a package of fish food for her aquarium. Each fish costs $15, and the fish food costs $10. If she needs to keep her expenses below $100, which inequality represents her situation?

A. 15x < 100 + 10

B.15x > 100 + 10

C. 15x + 10 < 100

D. 15x + 10 > 100

Answer :

The answer is C. 15x + 10 < 100 because she wants to buy as many fish as she wants but also wants to have money for food and I'm guessing leftover money. Lets say she buys 5 fish. That would be $75 that she has spent on the fish themselves. After that, she would by food food which is $10 which the total cost is $85. She completes her goal of $100 or less and has left over money.

I hope that kinda helps you. ^_^
