According to my personal research from when I was in the last year of high school and also to the personal statement from me and online research.
The reason why the bible isn't reliable because the Bible is full of historical and factual errors and it contradicts itself, it's hard to trust it or view it as reliable.
Like for example, humanist don't believe that the bible is the words of God as they believe that it was someone who believed that they are the God themselves and act ignorant and naive. They believe that the writers of the book contains many errors and harmful teachings.
Like how half of the laws are based on the Holy Bible for protection purposes but the problem is that the Bible is quite harmful when it comes to punishment.
It approves cruelty and injustice. In systems, a fundamental principle is that the suffering of the innocent showed the injustice but the Bible teaches that God repeatedly violated this moral concept by harming many of many innocent people.
