The second number in the ordered pair is the y coordinate.
The second value of an ordered pair is the y-value.
It signifies how far above (or below) the x axis o (horizontal axis) that a point is. If the y value is positive, then the point is above the x-axis, but if it is negative it is below the x axis (when it's 0, the point is on the x-axis)
