Euclid's best known book Elements describes plane geometry. He was probably the most famous Greek mathematician. Archimedes worked on solid geometry. He was a Greek mathematician, often referred to as the "Father of Geometry"; wrote a book about plane geometry, called Elements; has influenced mathematicians till this day. Archimedes was the most famous scientist of the Hellenistic Era who worked on solid geometry; established the science of physics and explained the lever and compound pulley. Archimedes would help map a small town. Euclid would describe a Greek column because of how much experience he has as a Greek mathematician.
