So Nelly gets £8 an hour for the first 15 hours, so you have to find the product of 8 and 15 which is £120. Then she gets an extra £10 for every extra hour, so we have tl subtract 15 hours from how many total she worked. To do that, we first have to add all of the hours together which would be 22 hours. Then we have to subtract the 15 which is 7 hours. However, the 5 hours on Saturday are going to pay double so we will calculate that afterwards. so 7 minus 5 is 2. Nelly gets paid £8 pounds for every hour so she gets £16 for 2 hours. Now, since are doubling £8 we get £16. So Nelly gets paid £16 an hour for the hours she worked on Saturday. 5 times 16 is £80. Now we add it all together. £120 + £16 + £80 = £216
