The end of the war, the soviet union dispersed. Ukraine became its own country. Russia was not very happy. They agreed that countries would gain their independence. Still, it was also relayed that these countries would not be allowed to join NATO because NATO was made to Defend against Russia and protect nations from being taken over by the Soviet Union. But many of the disbanded countries joined NATO for sanctions from Russia. Ukraine was one of the last countries to attempt to join NATO; they have been waiting since two-thousand and Eight and have not been let in yet, but in recent months, they have been very close to getting approval to join NATO. Russia Knew this, and since Ukraine was close to being approved, it meant that Russia would either need to attack now or never; if Russia attacked once Ukraine got into NATO, they could then be attacked by the rest of the countries in NATO. By them shooting now, it prevents other countries from invading the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. If NATO decides to invade, it allows Russian allies to become involved; this happening would ultimately Start Word War Three between all continental alliances. From my perspective and understanding of the historical background of the premice of the war, I would have to stay on you Ukraine's side. Despite what Ukraine has done to Russians who have gone to Ukraine, I believe that the people of Ukraine are innocent and do not deserve to be invaded by Russia, for these circumstances that Vladimir Putin has presented has not given a reason for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The people of Ukraine are suffering every day from the tragedy of war; more than Two-Thousand people have died so far, and the rising numbers leave the people of Ukraine in a state of grief as their homelands become obliterated by invading Russian Armies. Like the romans, and greeks we see a war between two civilizations that once worked so well together becoming slaves to the war and conflict. War is not fair to the people of Ukraine, and the impact that the war has had on Ukraine has been devastating to Ukraine, and with NATO’s inability to become involved. Expert Economist analysis of the war have speculated That due to the effects of the war. After all the carnage that has occurred Ukraine will become Admitted to NATO, economic trade and functionality in Ukraine will astronomically decrease From The war.
