number 1(x=5)
number 2(y=1)
number 3(y=8)
on all the problems get x or y by itself. number one already has this done and then plug whatever x or y equals into the equation above so say y=6x and the equation above was 2+3y=-4 then you would do 2+3(6x)=-4 and then solve.
