If so, then this question is pretty simple. A radical sign, √, indicates a square root of any given number located under it. Since 4w is under the radical we will be finding the square root of 4w. Since w is a variable and there is no square root we will have to just take the square root of 4 instead. So, our answer should look like this:

This basically says "2 times the square root of w"
