a mother is 20 years older then her daughter now. 50 years ago he was twice the age of her daughter. what are the present ages of the mother and daughter

Answer :

irspow
m=20+d

m-50=2(d-50), m-50=2d-100, m=2d-50, since m=m we have:

20+d=2d-50

-d=-70, d=70 and since m=20+d, m=90

So the present ages of the mother and daughter are 90 and 70 years old.
