Women joined the struggle for equal rights because men treated them badly back in the late 1800s. They decided to protest because Blacks were treated better and they were slaves just a few years before. Their goals were to be allowed to drive, the right to vote, and the right to have equal treatment as men. Influential figures in women's rights were Susan B. Anthony and Sojourner Truth.
