Keri walks her dog every morning. The length of the walk is 0.55 kilometer on each weekday. On each weekend day the walk is 1.4 times as long as a walk on a weekday. How many kilometers does Keri walk in one week?

y-------> the length of the walk on each weekend in kilometer

T------> total length of the walk in one week in kilometer

we know that

[tex] x=0.55\ km [/tex]

[tex] y=1.4*x=1.4*0.55=0.77\ km [/tex]

[tex] T=5x+2y\\ \\ T=5*0.55+2*0.77\\ \\T= 2.75+1.54\\ \\ T=4.29\ km [/tex]

therefore

the answer is

[tex] 4.29\ km [/tex]
