Why is this 1 and not 0? Steps please? Y^0=1. Why is it equal to 1 and not 0? Please really explain this because I’m still convinced it is 0.

Answer :

dannielle
y^x:y^x = 1 because a:a=1 for every a

but y^x:y^x=y^(x-x)=y^0

Ex: 2^3:2^2=2^(3-2)=2
       8:4=2

y^0=1
