Lets get started ;)
[tex] 8\frac{1}{3} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{25}{3} [/tex]
[tex]2 \frac{1}{3} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{7}{3} [/tex]
8.1 = [tex] \frac{81}{10} [/tex]
(When you divide by a value/fraction, you can multiply by its reciprocal)
[tex] \frac{25}{3} [/tex] × [tex] \frac{1}{x} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{7}{3} [/tex] × [tex] \frac{10}{81} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{25}{3x} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{70}{243} [/tex]
We can cross multiply :)
25 × 243 = 3x × 70
6075 = 210x
We can divide by on either side to isolate x and thus find its value
[tex] \frac{6075}{210} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{210x}{210} [/tex]
210 and 210 cancels out on the right-hand side
[tex] \frac{405}{14} [/tex] = x
