Well the spanish had multiple advantages one being that the Aztecs thought he(Hernán Cortés the spanish conquistador that took over the Aztecs)was a literal god and two the spanish were more advanced in civilization
List of all the things the spanish had against the aztecs
1. The Aztecs thought he (Hernán Cortés) was a literal god
2. The spanish had weapons and armor made out of metal
3. The spanish spreaded new sickness to the Aztecs that the Aztecs immune system didn't know so that weekend them making it easier to win the war for the spanish and the sickness also killed a lot of soldiers.
4. They Aztecs had many enemies, the aztecs had many enemies after all they kidnapped people and forced them to pay tribute so anyways the spanish used this against them making allies and a lot more soldiers driven by war for their army. so in a nutshell they used the Aztecs enemies to defeat them.
